Hall Refurb!
We are undertaking lots of work with the hall on an ongoing basis, see the photos below for our latest progress!
Garden

We have undertaken significant work in our garden to fix the uneven ground that had caused problems to our wheelchair uses, with many thanks to Gary Goode for building a base for a new metal shed, and Bury Hill Topsoil (Westcott) for donating 6 tonnes of top soil and 150m2 top quality turf at cost price - saving us a fortune and enabling us to create an instant lawn.

As you will see from the photographs, the garden is looking really good and is ready and waiting for our return!

Driveway

We have completed repair to the drive leading to the main front doors of the hall. This will improve access to the hall and safety, especially when using wheelchairs and zimmer frames. Gary Goode has once again assisted us and has built a new ramp leading to the door so that our hall users can access the hall with ease.

Hall

The work to upgrade our disabled toilet is now complete! The newly refurbished room has new flooring, an overhead hoist, a hydraulic changing bed and a fully compliant disabled WC.
The work was completed following a successful application to the Community Foundation Surrey, where two very generous donors came forward and awarded us a grant of £6000 towards the refurbishment. Most of the work was carried out by local volunteer tradesmen which helped us cut down our costs.

Our sincere thanks goes to Gatwick Foundation Fund and Hamilton Fund for being so generous and giving us the opportunity to upgrade our facilities so that we can support our members with more profound physical disabilities. And a big thank you for the continued support of our volunteer workmen.
